A serial entrepreneur had bought into a unique laboratory-based technology and IP for converting non-recyclable plastics into high value petrochemical products through a process that was first of its kind. The entrepreneur was looking to put up commercial plants using this technology. This leap from lab to operational scale plant was something no one had attempted before with this technology. 

TECHNOLOGY AND PROCESS REVIEW:

Praxys reviewed the process, the lab trials data and evaluated the efficacy of the process models from a theoretical basis. 

PILOT PLANT: 

Praxys helped build a large-scale pilot plant to establish the efficacy of the process. Our team then developed design-basis the scalability parameters. In doing so the original process and the reactor designed needed to be re-developed from first principles.

Praxys successfully established the pilot plant, generating data for many of the parameters that would be required for designing the full-scale facility. Praxys designed and implemented the pilot plant to also serve as a technology demonstration facility for setting up large scale commercial facilities

COMMERCIALISATION :

Praxys is now working on the large-scale commercial facilities proposed to be set up in the EU.

Praxys could demonstrate to the entrepreneur that the know how he has acquired can be viable and that with certain modification can be commercially feasible. The entrepreneur will therefore be able to get the true value of the IP he had acquired. Praxys charted this journey and partners the client in every step. When required, it went beyond its brief to re-design process and equipment to ensure efficient scaling up.
