Our client is an established player in the chemical industry with a globally dominant position in multiple products in its portfolio. Due to the changing raw material and supply chain environment for its well-established product line, it sensed the need to re-look at its own manufacturing and product strategy in-order to retain its product-market strength. How to protect its existing position and enhance its competitive strength?

Praxys worked with the client as a Clients Engineer playing a key role from project conceptualisation onward. At various stages this involved:

  •  A strategic initiative to finalise a techno-commercial plan for:

- creating an integrated complex that would enhance the competitive strength of the product line through backward and forward integration.

- capitalising on newer and cheaper sources of raw materials and utility sources.

- additional by-products to increase cost competitiveness and product line growth in new market.

- Revamping some of the old technology for the new integrated facility

  • Creating a full- scale execution plan for implementation of all aspects right from market access, techno commercial elements, raw material supply chain, utility and offsite development using low-cost energy sources
  • Marketing study and demonstration trials for some of the products.
  • Representing the owner and implementing regulatory approvals, environmental clearances, land acquisition and other developmental aspects.
  • Financial feasibility studies, helping the group raise equity from other investors and coordinating debt financing.

The project will now move into the next stage – implementation.

This project showcases Praxys’ complete value proposition – from conceptualisation to

commissioning.
